About this Role

The Junior Funding Specialist plays a vital role within our sales organization, partnering closely with Funding Specialists to drive growth and help small business owners secure the financing they need. This position is designed for a motivated, team-oriented individual who thrives on collaboration, organization, and proactive communication.


As a Junior Funding Specialist, you'll serve as the right hand to our Funding Specialists-helping manage pipelines, support client outreach, prepare proposals, and ensure that every prospect and partner receives an exceptional experience from first contact to funding. You'll also gain hands-on exposure to the business lending process, including products like Working Capital, Term Loans, Lines of Credit, ERTC Loans, and SBA 7(a) Loans.


This is an ideal role for someone looking to build a career in financial sales while developing strong client service and consultative skills in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Support & Coordination

Work alongside Funding Specialists to manage daily tasks, track client progress, and ensure deals move efficiently through the sales pipeline.


Client Outreach & Follow-Up

Assist with initial outreach, follow-up calls, and emails to prospects and partners to maintain engagement and momentum throughout the funding process.


Pipeline & CRM Management

Maintain accurate records of client communications, applications, and deal statuses in the CRM system; ensure data integrity and timely updates.


Proposal Preparation

Support the creation and delivery of funding proposals, including gathering required documentation and ensuring terms and product details are clearly communicated.


Cross-Team Collaboration

Partner with internal teams such as underwriting, credit, and legal to ensure smooth coordination and timely deal progression.


Product Familiarity

Develop and maintain an understanding of the company's full suite of lending products-including MCA, Working Capital, Term Loans, Lines of Credit, ERTC, and SBA programs-to confidently support client conversations.


Client Experience

Ensure every client receives prompt, professional communication and a seamless experience from first touch to funding.


Sales Enablement

Help identify new opportunities and share feedback with Funding Specialists to optimize sales strategies and improve conversion rates.


Reporting

Assist in preparing weekly sales reports, performance updates, and activity summaries to help track team progress and goals.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience in a sales, customer service, or administrative support role (financial services experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the financial services and lending space.
