Job description

Fund Accounting ManagerABOUT THE ROLE

The Fund Accounting Manager holds final sign-off on client-facing financial reporting, owns client relationships, and leads a team of Senior and Associate Fund Accountants. This is a role for someone ready to take real accountability for both the accuracy of the numbers and the people producing them.

ABOUT ACUITY

Acuity Fund Solutions is a fund administration firm serving private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit, hedge fund, and family office clients. Built from the ground up for accuracy and responsiveness, Acuity gives fund managers a back office they can rely on without building one in-house.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Hold final review and sign-off authority on investor statements, fund-level financial statements, and other client-facing deliverables for assigned funds
  • Own the client relationship for accounting and reporting matters, serving as the primary point of contact for substantive client questions and escalations
  • Manage day-to-day workflow, staffing, and prioritization across a team of Senior and Associate Fund Accountants
  • Determine which lower-risk deliverables your Senior Fund Accountants may sign off on independently, adjusting that delegation as appropriate
  • Review and resolve discrepancies your team elevates beyond their independent judgment
  • Ensure client reporting deadlines are met across your portfolio, reallocating staff and resources as needed
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and participate in hiring decisions for your team
  • Identify recurring process gaps or control weaknesses and drive corrective action
  • Partner with senior leadership on client onboarding, scope changes, and service-level matters
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 6+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience, including reviewing or overseeing others' work
  • Demonstrated experience owning client relationships and managing escalations independently
  • Prior formal people-management experience
NICE TO HAVE
  • CPA license
  • Hands‑on experience with Allvue, Investran, or Advent Geneva
  • Experience across multiple fund structures
  • Experience with client onboarding or scope discussions
WHAT ACUITY OFFERS
  • Hybrid work arrangement based in Scottsdale, AZ
  • Paid time off that grows with tenure, plus separate paid sick leave
  • Company holidays aligned to the market calendar, with flexible holiday scheduling
  • Industry-leading paid parental leave
  • A firm small enough that your work is visible, with a defined path for growth

Equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
