What does a functional QA tester do?

A typical day for a Functional QA Tester involves reviewing requirements, designing and executing test cases, documenting results, and reporting defects to the development team. Testers often participate in daily stand-up meetings as part of an Agile team and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA personnel to ensure thorough coverage of system functionality. The role requires regularly updating test plans as software changes, retesting fixed issues, and sometimes using automated scripts for regression testing.
