Helping Hands Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. This full-time position involves providing specialized mental health care to individuals dealing with the effects of trauma. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our committed team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each client's trauma history and identify suitable treatment approaches.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on each client’s unique needs, promoting trauma recovery and resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions encouraging clients to process their trauma and build coping strategies for healing.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support, assisting clients during trauma-related emergencies with immediate strategies to address acute issues.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping methods, and available resources to support their healing process.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Engage in ongoing case consultations and participate in regular professional development activities to enhance your understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve our service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele served at Helping Hands Counseling Services consists of individuals who have experienced trauma. This includes those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders. Recognizing the profound impact of trauma on mental health, we aim to create a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all clients, empowering them on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must possess current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure, preferably in trauma-focused treatment.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a nurturing, non-judgmental approach to patient care.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and support clients effectively.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information efficiently.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills working within a multidisciplinary team to promote integrated patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Strong background in delivering various evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy focused on trauma recovery.
Compensation and Benefits

We are proud to offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
