We're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help shape the future of our company by identifying new business opportunities, growing strategic customer relationships, and driving profitable sales growth. What You'll Do

As our Business Development Manager, you'll lead commercial growth from prospecting through program launch while serving as a trusted advisor to customers and an advocate for ATACO's manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve profitable growth.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new customers that align with ATACO's manufacturing capabilities.
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers, engineers, purchasing teams, and executive leadership.
  • Manage key customer accounts and develop annual account growth strategies.
  • Lead the quotation process, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and proposal development.
  • Partner with estimating, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and customer service to deliver competitive manufacturing solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer activity, reshoring opportunities, and competitive markets.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasting and CRM records using HubSpot.
  • Utilize AI tools, including ChatGPT and approved technologies, to improve prospect research, account planning, customer communication, and sales effectiveness.
  • Conduct customer visits, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning meetings.
  • Support successful program launches and ensure customer expectations align with operational capabilities.
  • Represent ATACO professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or account management.
  • Experience selling within manufacturing, metal fabrication, stamping, welding, contract manufacturing, or an OEM supplier environment.
  • Proven success developing new customers while growing existing accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM software (HubSpot preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 30–40%.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quoting, pricing, gross margins, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and operations teams on technical manufacturing solutions.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and modern sales technology to improve productivity and customer engagement.
