STATUS: Full time
LOCATION: St. Mary's Campus & Supporting locations
ADDRESS: 65 Genesee Street, Rochester, NY 14611
DEPARTMENT: Immediate Care - Imaging
SCHEDULE: 9 am - 9 pm; Rotating Weekends
SUMMARY
As a Radiologic Tech I, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.

Rochester Regional Health Imaging is a comprehensive resource for patients and physicians. We provide state-of-the-art imaging and radiology services administered with speed, convenience, and reliability. Our imaging centers offer prompt, flexible scheduling and timely radiology appointments so there is minimal disruption to your daily routine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Care. Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service
  • General Maintenance. Clean, restock, and prepare rooms on a daily basis
  • Documentation. Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
  • Must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
  • BLS Certification preferred.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
R - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
