Hours: 8-hour shifts
Location: Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
  • Prepare patients for their MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing any concerns or questions, and ensuring that patients are comfortable, you will also screen patients for contraindications to MRI, such as the presence of metal implants or pacemakers
  • Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images of the body, position patients correctly on the scanning table and select appropriate imaging parameters to produce clear and accurate images
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect both patients and you from potential hazards associated with MRI technology, such as strong magnetic fields
  • During the MRI scan, monitor patients' vital signs and adjust imaging parameters as needed to obtain the desired images, you may perform multiple imaging sequences to capture different anatomical views or enhance specific tissue contrasts
  • Administer contrast agents intravenously to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or abnormalities during the scan, monitor patients for any adverse reactions to the contrast agent and provide appropriate care if needed
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
2. ARRT-R is required.
3. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
4. Current BCLS (AHA).
5. At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
6. Proficient computer skills.
