Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Auditor located in Columbia, SC.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor the Quality Auditor role is involves performing inspection and quality check reports.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Audits processes, tests and inspects products and/or develops, compiles and evaluates statistical data to define and maintain quality and reliability of products.
  • Working from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection, root cause research, internal corrective actions and supplier correction actions.
  • Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity.
  • Perform receiving inspection and develop Incoming Quality Control Plans
  • Scrap disposition at MRB in less than 24 hours.
  • Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office including excel charts and pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations
  • Records audit data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Provides factory hold up to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Download quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.
  • Performs out of box audits (OBA) as required.
  • Assure that the Customer implementation activities are in place.
  • Validate the tooling and gauges are working properly.
  • Send gages out for calibration, maintain calibration records.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional skills, which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/or lead/guide other employees.
