Job description

Position Summary: Coordinates dimensional inspection of small machined plastic and metal components for QC department. Conducts quality assurance, quality control and inspection activities. Assists in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures; improves current processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates inspection duties (FA, In-Process and Final)
  • Close tolerance dimensional Inspection of small machined plastic & metal components
  • Ability to follow written instructions and to complete relative inspection paperwork
  • Corrective Actions – Assigns, investigates and responds to opportunities for improvement
  • Analyzes non-conforming parts in order to identify root causes problem resolution
  • Implements & manages all Calibration Activities through formal programs
  • Completes both internal and customer related documentation as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with inspection tools including CMM and Optical comparator
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Proficiency in conducting internal audits

Education and Experience:

  • 5 years experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Ability to read and interpret prints drawings in addition to customer expectations
  • Experience in manufacturing and inspection
