Location: 401 Taylor Avenue, Gordonsville, VA 22942
Job Type: Full-Time | Seasonal
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Are you detail-oriented, quality-focused, and enjoy hands-on work? FM Expressions is looking for a Seasonal Quality Control Inspector to join our production team!

In this role, you'll help ensure that our finished and in-process products meet FM Expressions' quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements. You'll inspect products, identify defects, document quality concerns, and work closely with our production team to help prevent quality issues and ensure customers receive accurate, high-quality products.

?? This is a Seasonal Position

This is a full-time seasonal opportunity designed to support our production needs during a busy period. Candidates should be comfortable with the temporary nature of the position and the possibility of working overtime as needed based on production demands.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect finished and in-process products for quality, accuracy, and appearance.
  • Compare products against job specifications, samples, work orders, and customer requirements.
  • Identify defective, damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming products.
  • Separate and properly identify defective products to prevent them from continuing through production.
  • Document quality issues and communicate findings to the appropriate production team members.
  • Assist in identifying the causes of recurring quality issues.
  • Work with production teams to correct quality problems and reduce waste and rework.
  • Assist with corrective actions and follow-up inspections.
  • Maintain accurate quality inspection records and documentation.
  • Assist with cutting, packing, pallet building, and other production activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using FM Expressions' 6S standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and production employees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjust schedules based on production needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lift, move, load, and place merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate products of different sizes and weights.
  • Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Visually inspect products, equipment, and information, including small print.
  • Work around production equipment and machinery.
