Job description

Insurance Producer

Summit Insurance is expanding its Idaho Falls office and is looking to add a motivated Insurance Producer who wants to build a long-term career in sales within an established, growing agency.

This role is designed for someone who wants more than a transactional sales job. You'll spend your first year learning directly from senior leadership, gaining hands-on experience in how deals are sourced, structured, and closed, with a clear path toward increased independence and earning potential over time.

If you're competitive, coachable, and motivated by growth, this role offers the opportunity to build something meaningful without having to start from scratch.

What You'll Do

  • Learn Summit's sales process through hands-on training and real deal exposure
  • Prospect for new business and develop relationships with prospective clients
  • Assist in presenting and selling insurance solutions to individuals and businesses
  • Build and manage a growing book of business over time
  • Collaborate with leadership on sales strategy and deal execution
  • Participate in ongoing coaching and professional development

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Sales mindset with a willingness to prospect and follow up consistently
  • Coachable, competitive, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working toward performance-based goals

Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time in an in-office environment in Idaho Falls, ID
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a willingness to prospect and follow up consistently
  • Coachable attitude and openness to feedback and ongoing development
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Comfort working toward performance-based goals
  • Willingness to learn insurance products, sales processes, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and prospects

Preferred, but not required:

  • Active insurance license or willingness to obtain licensing after hire
