Johnstone Supply is ready to hire a motivated full-time Operations Manager to guide our continued growth at our Sterling, VA branch location. This HVAC supply store management position earns a competitive salary- base rate and includes monthly and yearly bonuses based on prior experience and current HVAC product knowledge. You would also be eligible for generous full-time benefits, including monthly bonuses, annual bonuses, medical, prescription, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with company match, company-paid life insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OPERATIONS MANAGER
As an Operations Manager for one of our locations, you are responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of branch staff. As a hands-on leader, you model prompt, professional service when answering incoming telephone calls and greeting walk-in customers. You inspire all counter sales, warehouse, and delivery staff to take pride in their work and provide exceptional customer service. Your style of leadership fosters teamwork, respect, accountability, and trust.
You are goal-oriented and continually achieve your branch's financial targets. With attention to detail and efficiency, you accurately complete transactions and paperwork. You resolve customer complaints and dispute effectively. Working with outside sales personnel, you also help develop effective sales programs and promotions for your branch. You enjoy the challenge of being a strategic leader and get great satisfaction out of achieving goals!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OPERATIONS MANAGER
  • Experience as an operations manager
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Business acumen
  • Consistent customer service skills
  • Leadership skills

HVAC industry experience or training is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. General knowledge of wholesale distribution including branch operations, order fulfillment, inventory control, customer service, showroom merchandising, shipping & receiving, and sales are preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
