This is a full-time position, located at any of our Haley & Aldrich offices, nationwide, but with preference for location in our Pacific Northwest offices (Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA or Seattle, WA).
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting contaminant related environmental project work. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with project teams nationwide by providing chemical analysis and chemistry expertise in solving complex environmental and regulatory challenges, helping to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance, providing technical guidance on environmental data management and quality assurance, and applying chemistry expertise to planning and achieving project objectives. This position offers the opportunity for broad project exposure, technical growth, and interdisciplinary teamwork within a leading environmental consulting firm.

- Ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance requirements.
- Write or review Quality Assurance Project Plans and other project planning documents.
- Provide guidance in value-added ways for our scientists and engineers to leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams working in other offices across the US.
- Understand project requirements and client needs.
- Lead portions of technical project work from project scoping through final deliverables.
- Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.
- Have the opportunity to expand your skill set beyond environmental contamination to include product regulatory compliance and stewardship.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Professional accreditation (NRCC-CEAC, AAEES-BCES, CHMM or similar) is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in commercial environmental testing laboratories performing EPA analytical test methods. Additional commercial laboratory experience including QA/QC or project chemist responsibilities is preferred, as is experience with both private sector and government clients and projects.
- 12+ years of environmental data validation and consulting project chemistry experience, including a demonstrated ability to review data under multiple regulatory frameworks. Experience with EPA National Functional Guidelines, state-specific data quality guidance, Department of War guidance, and other relevant data quality guidance is required.
- Knowledge of Federal and state environmental regulations and how to integrate regulatory requirements into planning and execution of environmental data collection programs.
- Experience with preparation of project quality planning documents such as QAPPs and FSPs, including experience with UFP-QAPP development and format.
- Experience evaluating and interpreting environmental data with respect to applicable regulations and project objectives and working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine conceptual site models.
- Proficiency with data acquisition and instrument reporting software packages, Laboratory Information Management systems and environmental relational database management systems such as EQuIS strongly preferred.
- Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning, and time management skills.
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality work products that meet our clients' objectives while working independently on individual tasks to complete the technical work needed.
- Able to manage tasks and perform work on multiple projects or multiple tasks simultaneously, while providing guidance and leadership to others.
- Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
