Job description

Looking for a way to finance your flight training while working to build experience as an A&P mechanic? The American Flyers Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program might be just what you're looking for. Selected candidates will work as an A&P mechanic while earning monthly flight training scholarships in addition to a monthly salary.


Mechanics will earn training for the Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot licenses, with possible extensions available to also receive certified flight instructor certificates (CFIA & CFII). Opportunities for continued employment with American Flyers as a Flight Instructor or A&P are possible upon completion of this program.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess A&P certificates

    Maintenance Position Responsibilities

    • 50-hour, 100-hour inspections on Cessna 172, Piper100i and Piper Seminoles
    • Scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance
    • Air-worthiness directives
    • Powerplant and electrical troubleshooting
    • General maintenance
