CNC Machinist – Precision Manufacturing

St. Petersburg, FL | Full-Time | Day Shift

Join a Growing Precision Manufacturing Team

A leading precision manufacturing company in St. Petersburg is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality, close-tolerance components in a clean, professional manufacturing environment.

If you have experience operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and working to tight tolerances, we'd like to speak with you.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and gauges.
  • Make machine offsets and minor program adjustments as needed.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain production efficiency while producing accurate, high-quality parts.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience holding close tolerances and producing quality precision components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, or other specialty alloys.
  • Medical device, aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and improve production efficiency.
