MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Lead Command Aware/Radio Systems Administrator to join our team in Alexandria, VA, Philadelphia, PA, or Chandler, AZ. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
In this leadership role, you will spearhead the administration, data integrity, and cross-functional coordination of our Command Aware systems, ensuring seamless tactical communications and robust data management across the entire Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • System Administration & Data Updates: Lead Command Aware coordination efforts to continuously update, maintain, and validate critical operational data
  • AOR-Wide Field Coordination: Synchronize directly with field personnel to plan, manage, and execute comprehensive, AOR-wide system and data updates
  • Identity & Call Sign Management: Accurately update radios within the Command Aware platform with designated call signs and organize structural folders with radio user profiles
  • Console Database Integration: Collaborate closely with TACCOM staff to implement, manage, and coordinate essential updates to the alias database for communication consoles
  • Data Resilience & Governance: Establish, monitor, and enforce rigorous processes for data backup, secure storage, and historical tracking to preserve system auditing
  • Standardization & Records Management: Draft technical policies, operational procedures, and work instructions to build a robust records management framework

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network/Telecommunications Engineering or a related field AND 12+ years of work experience, OR Doctorate and 8+ years of experience, OR Associate and 14+ years of experience, OR High School diploma/GED and 16+ years of experience
  • System Engineering Expertise: Proven experience operating as an IT Systems Engineer or Network & Systems Administrator within a complex enterprise environment
  • Database & Lifecycle Coordination: Demonstrated experience coordinating large-scale data updates, tracking historical changes, and managing alias databases or configurations across distributed teams
  • Data Continuity: Proven ability to engineer and implement reliable data backup, storage, and long-term records management procedures
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and oversee teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Platform Familiarity: Prior experience specifically administering or lead-coordinating within Motorola Command Aware or closely related tactical management suites
  • Governance Writing: Advanced background in authoring formal technical policies, compliance procedures, and organizational guidelines for federal or regulated systems

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain agency suitability prior to starting this position
  • Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
