Schedule: M-F 8-4 or 9-5, one overnight weekend trip every three months

Are you passionate about combining the outdoors, experiential learning, and therapeutic growth to make a lasting impact on young lives? Do you have experience as a camp counselor or kids activities facilitator? 

Calo Programs in Lake Ozark, Missouri is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Adventure Therapy Coordinator to lead meaningful, adventure-based experiences that transform the lives of adolescents.

Step into a dynamic role where you'll design and lead innovative adventure therapy experiences that build emotional resilience, physical wellness, social skills, and neurobiological growth. From ropes courses and team challenges to camping trips, excursions, and fitness routines, you'll create hands-on opportunities for transformation in a safe, supportive environment.

As part of a collaborative treatment team at Calo Programs in Lake Ozark, MO, you'll help shape individualized goals, guide therapeutic interventions, and foster measurable progress. Through service projects and purposeful "Engineered Experiences," you'll inspire accountability, confidence, and connection-turning your passion for the outdoors into meaningful, life-changing work.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement innovative adventure therapy programs that support students' physical, emotional, social, and neurobiological development.
  • Lead weekly fitness routines and Adventure Excursions.
  • Facilitate weekly Ropes Course activities, team-building exercises, and other adventure-based experiences.
  • Plan and oversee camping trips or "Engineered Experiences" that provide growth opportunities for students.
  • Incorporate meaningful service projects into the program throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with the Treatment Team to identify student goals, plan interventions, and assess progress.
  • Ensure all activities are executed safely and adhere to best practices while maintaining program excellence.
Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Education - HS Diploma. 
  • Ability to gain certification in CTRS. 
  • Hold valid driver's license.
  • Experience in adventure therapy, experiential learning, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a Camp Counselor or Youth Activities Coordinator strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and program development skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to fostering student growth through physical challenges and team-building activities.
