The Role

AXS is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack to lead the design and development of our core ticketing platforms. This role is suited for an engineer who thrives in a complex enterprise environment and is comfortable working across diverse technologies and architectures. You will build and scale consumer-facing and B2B web applications, owning the web platform across front-end experiences, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations for high-demand, global use cases.

As the technical lead, you will own systems end-to-end, combining hands-on development with architectural oversight and team leadership. You will drive technical direction, align engineering efforts with business goals, and guide a team in delivering scalable, high-quality web experiences.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the web application platform end-to-end, with a focus on front-end architecture, performance, and user experience
  • Lead the design and evolution of modern front-end systems and frameworks, alongside supporting back-end services and APIs
  • Define and drive platform standards for UI architecture, component design, accessibility, performance, and scalability
  • Design and deliver scalable consumer-facing and B2B web applications supporting high-demand, global use cases
  • Balance hands-on development with planning, technical leadership, and team oversight
  • Align technical execution with business and product objectives
  • Guide technical direction, front-end best practices, and overall engineering standards
  • Act as the technical lead for a team of engineers, driving delivery and continuous improvement
  • Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences
 

What to bring:

  • 7+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership
  • Strong expertise in modern web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Deep experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js and modern front-end architecture patterns
  • Experience building scalable, maintainable front-end platforms and design systems
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET Core, with experience building APIs to support front-end applications
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design
  • Proven experience leading engineers, setting front-end standards, and driving technical direction
  • Strong communication skills and ability to align with cross-functional stakeholders
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code
  • Experience building large-scale, high-performance transactional platforms
  • Strong experience building Single Page Applications
  • Experience with open-source technologies such as Node.js
  • Experience building reusable UI components, design systems, and micro frontends
  • Experience developing mobile-first and responsive user interfaces

Pay Scale: $165,000 - $185,000

Bonus:  This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
