How do fullstack developers specializing in Python typically collaborate with frontend and backend teams during a project?

Fullstack Developers with Python expertise often serve as a bridge between frontend and backend teams, ensuring seamless integration of services and user interfaces. They participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions to stay aligned with both sides of the development process. Their role involves not only writing and maintaining Python-based backend logic but also working closely with frontend developers to implement APIs and troubleshoot issues that span the entire technology stack. This collaboration fosters a cohesive workflow and accelerates project delivery.

What is the difference between Fullstack Developer Python vs Frontend Developer?

What is a fullstack developer python?

A Fullstack Developer Python is a software engineer skilled in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on using Python for server-side programming. They build and maintain all layers of a web application, often using Python frameworks like Django or Flask for the back-end and technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front-end. Fullstack Python developers are versatile, handling databases, APIs, user interfaces, and deployment processes. Their broad expertise allows them to contribute to every stage of the software development lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fullstack developer python, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fullstack Developer (Python), you need strong proficiency in Python programming, front-end technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and experience with frameworks like Django or Flask, usually supported by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp. Familiarity with version control systems (like Git), SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud services is typically expected, and certifications like AWS Certified Developer or Django certifications can be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving abilities, collaboration, and effective communication skills make candidates stand out in team-based development environments. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering scalable, maintainable solutions that bridge both client and server needs, ensuring project success.

Artemis

New York, NY • On-site

$150K - $250K/yr

Full-time

Job description

About Artemis
Traditional finance and crypto-enabled finance are merging into digital finance - an open, global financial system for everyone. Stripe launched its own blockchain, JPM is getting involved with stablecoins, Robinhood launched tokenized stocks and its own blockchain.
Finance is moving onchain and it's accelerating.
Previously platforms like Bloomberg, CapIQ, and FactSet became the information layer on top of finance, growing into $1-$10B ARR businesses. But these platforms weren't built for a crypto-native world.
Artemis is building the open data platform for digital finance - organizing and standardizing the metrics that matter for blockchains, tokens and stablecoins, all in one place.
Functionally, we offer a "Bloomberg-like" Terminal trusted by Visa, Circle, Tether, Grayscale, VanEck, Franklin Templeton, Solana, Base, and others - alongside Google Sheets & Excel plugins, APIs, and Snowflake Data Shares LOVED by some of the world's largest asset managers.
Our mission is to make crypto's promise of an open financial system real and to empower anyone, anywhere, to become a world-class investor in digital finance.
Who we are
"Humans wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success" - Ernest Shackleton, Antarctic Explorer
At Artemis we're doing really challenging things, very much inspired by Ernest Shackleton's mindset. Hard things are not for everyone, only the select few who have superhuman-levels of mental fortitude, optimism, compassion, and courage.
If this is who you are - let's talk!
We're a passionate group of TradFi ex-analysts, crypto-natives, and folks set on building the future of finance. We come from Meta, Coinbase, Blackrock, Messari, Ribbit Capital, EY Blockchain, and Insight Partners. We raised from the best venture capitalists in the world and would love to tell you more.
We index highly on passion, motivation, and a mindset like Ernest Shackleton's. No formal experience engineering specifically in crypto, traditional finance, fintech, or investment banking is required.
What you'll do
  • Help Artemis grow: We are at an inflection point where we have paying customers, a strong pipeline of prospects, and are scaling. We currently support over 50K MAUs and we're pushing this to over 200k+. You will have a defining role in building a better UI/UX layer that everyone will use to interact with Artemis Data.
  • Own and build a better terminal: Artemis Terminal is our most important product. It is loved by many in the industry and our charts and dashboards are shared all over X! We serve both crypto degens and traditional institutional customers with our terminal. As a fullstack engineer at Artemis, you will play a pivotal role in refining our terminal and taking it to the next level with the goal of bringing the next million of users into Crypto with Data.
  • Redefine Crypto UI/UX: Crypto has a huge UI/UX problem. As an engineer at Artemis, you aren't just building a better way to interact with Crypto Data, you will also be at the center of redefining the experience and onboarding of new users into Crypto - helping us push the space forward.
  • Help us move more onchain: We have many exciting projects to help bridge our terminal product and data sets to more on chain native primitives. As an engineer at Artemis, you'll work the team to integrate with leading onchain platforms.
  • Talk to customers: We have a core value #customerobsession and you'll interact with our customers directly by supporting them and collecting feedback to inform what product we build. Work closely with our partners at crypto protocols and foundations to build products that will be deeply embedded into their workflows.
  • Build the team: you'll play a big role in creating the culture and workplace that you want to work at.
Who you are
  • You're a passionate fullstack engineer with a primary focus on frontend
  • You love to ship, iterate, and see real users interact with what you've built
  • You take ownership and pride in your work, balancing autonomy with collaboration
  • You thrive in fast-paced, high-context environments, where you can exercise judgment and move ideas from concept to production quickly
  • You're a self-starter who values reliability, clarity, and impact over hierarchy
  • You want to work in-person (hybrid) with a high-performing, low-ego team in NYC
  • Willing to get your hands dirty lower in the stack (1+ years of building python APIs is a plus)
  • Prior experience building dashboards or visualization tools is a plus
  • Prior experience working with onchain data and onchain development is a plus
Our stack:
  • Frontend: React/TypeScript+ NextJS
  • (Backend: Django Python + Heroku)
