This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned fullstack developer with deep expertise in API design, implementation, and integration across distributed systems. The candidate will build and maintain responsive, usercentric web interfaces while developing scalable backend services that integrate reliably with enterprise platforms.
  • The role requires a strong Javabased (not "Java Applet"), application development background, coupled with solid experience designing serviceoriented and microservice architectures. The candidate should bring handson experience working with databases from both an application development perspective (querying, transactions, performance considerations) and a database engineering perspective (schema design, indexing, optimization).
  • A strong understanding of data management concepts, system reliability, and performance is essential. The ideal candidate can translate macrolevel business and platform requirements into clear, actionable technical designs and deliverables, producing robust and maintainable solutions.
  • Success in this role requires the ability to collaborate effectively within crossfunctional teams, contribute to architecture discussions, and uphold engineering best practices. A strong emphasis is placed on automated testing, including the creation of unit and functional test cases to ensure quality, scalability, and longterm maintainability.
  • Experience with Python, automated testing tools (e.g., TOSCA), JIRA, and enterprise databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

  • 6+ years of overall IT and software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of experience designing and building APIdriven services, including RESTful APIs and microservicebased solutions
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures in Java
  • Experience with distributed systems (resiliency, fault tolerance, scalability)
  • Experience with backend data access (JPA/Hibernate, SQL/NoSQL integration)
  • Strong experience with cloudnative application architecture and platformbased deployments
  • Demonstrated expertise in distributed system design patterns (scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance)
  • Proven ability to develop UI components and backend APIs with database interaction
  • Strong understanding of user experience optimization and responsive design principles
  • Handson experience implementing automated testing frameworks, including unit, functional, regression, and useracceptance testing
  • Proficiency with Git and modern sourcecontrol workflows
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with modern standards such as HTML5 and CSS3, and strong experience with Java application development
  • Experience with at least one modern, globally supported frontend framework (e.g., React)
