Job description

Are you looking for full time work with a financially stable company? We are searching for a Licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. Join DBNC Plumbing’s large crew on an exciting project building the Rook Hotel and other developments in the Greater Toronto Area!

The successful candidate will have a strong background with new build and renovations in commercial plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3PM

Hours of Work: 40hrs/week, Full Time, ongoing projects (no layoffs)

Location: 3660 Hurontario St., Mississauga, ON L5B 3C4

Pay: $40 - 50/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances

· Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and respond to emergency plumbing situations

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the installation of plumbing systems

· Install and maintain water supply, waste disposal, and storm drainage systems in accordance with local codes and regulations

· Install and maintain gas distribution systems and equipment, including gas meters and gas piping

· Provide advice and recommendations to building owners and managers on plumbing issues and repairs

· Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects

· Follow all safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work area

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A valid Plumber’s License from the Ontario College of Trades

· A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial plumber

· Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations in Ontario

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

· Required to bring the following tools and equipment:

o Basic hand tools (large tools will be provided)

o CSA approved safety boots

o Hard hat

· Must possess reliable method of transportation

· Working at heights certification is an asset
