The Manager of Curriculum & Training is a hands-on leadership role focused on managing and maintaining Studyville's K-5 literacy tutoring program. Studyville's K-5 literacy curriculum is already developed; this role is responsible for training tutors on that curriculum, overseeing its digitalization, keeping it aligned with current state standards, and editing materials as needed. The Manager also oversees art direction for Studyville's illustrator and communicates edits to both the illustrator and copy editor to ensure all materials are polished, on-brand, and classroom-ready.
In addition, this role delivers professional development to K-12 teachers on evidence-based tutoring practices grounded in the Science of Reading. The Manager will serve as a key collaborator on a state literacy project, assisting the middle school curriculum writer with 4th-6th grade literacy content. This position requires deep familiarity with Science of Reading pedagogy, including formal training and direct classroom experience using Science of Reading methods.
This is a hands-on, on-site role. Beyond curriculum and training, the Manager observes and coaches tutors in the microschool and at partner school sites, fills in for microschool teaching as needed, delivers on-site training at Studyville locations, and supports grant writing, including the LDOE EIR grant.
