Job description

Position: Assistant Warehouse Manager
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Department: Operations
Status: Exempt
Broad Functions: Assists in maintaining a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner. Assists Warehouse Manager interviewing and recommending applicants for hire Warehouse Associates and Receiving/Replenishment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Required to operate company's truck.
2. Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders
and distributing to associates for processing and delivery.
3. Able to input orders into DSP, read work orders, shipping orders, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Any missing or damaged products needs to be documented on missing damage form upon receiving.
4. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
5. Ensures Warehouse associates ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations. Assists in staff development to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned areas.
6. Assists Warehouse Manager to maintain equipment structure and level to accomplish the Warehouse and Receiving mission in a safe, effective manner. While providing appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all.

7. Assist in upholding safety standards as designated by LP department.
8. Monitors the unloading of all materials into the Receiving Department. Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received.
9. Assist in resolving discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
10. Helps monitors the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control for timely data entry while overseeing the movement of material from receiving to the Warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
11. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space
and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
12. Assists Warehouse manager to maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to
accomplish the location goals in an effective and efficient manner.
13. Participates in interview process with Warehouse Manager and recommend applicants for hire as Warehouse
Associates.
14. Assists in overseeing the receiving, storage and distribution of Production and Service Parts materials.
15. Performs other related duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Some college preferred or a minimum High School Diploma with at least 3 years of supervision experience of warehouse.
2. Have knowledge of service and food and beverage.
3. Strong math, verbal and written communication skills.
4. Excellent communication and people skills
5. Strong organizational skills
6. Must be minimum 21 years of age.
7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
8. Basic knowledge of Computers
9. Valid Driver License
