Job Description

As a Security Officer Screener Full Time in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with strong customer service and communication. In a caring, team-oriented culture built on integrity, you will bring a reliable, agile approach to a role that helps keep daily operations running smoothly.

Pay Rate: $18.01 / Hour

DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or site concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces to help support authorized access, report maintenance or policy issues, and relay relevant information to site contacts.
  • Assist with enforcing location rules, reporting suspicious activity, and supporting public-facing operations while maintaining a professional presence during varying shifts and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
