As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Providing virtual counseling sessions that address the unique needs and challenges of clients, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual.
• Assisting clients in navigating daily living activities, including shopping, meal planning, and cooking, while promoting independence and life skills development.
• Offering medication management support, including prompting clients for medication adherence and monitoring their medication intake according to care plans.
• Teaching clients how to utilize public transportation and access community resources, ensuring they maintain medical appointments and receive comprehensive care.
• Maintaining accurate documentation for each client, including session notes, progress updates, and adherence to treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Actively participating in team meetings to discuss client progress and collaborate on therapeutic strategies, enhancing the overall quality of care.
• Observe, report, and respond to changes in clients' overall mood and well-being, ensuring safety protocols are followed and practiced.

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client base, including adolescents, young adults, and families from various cultural backgrounds. You will work with clients facing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your therapeutic approach will be tailored to meet the individual needs of each client, fostering a therapeutic alliance that supports their personal growth and development.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California. Note: Associate level licenses are not accepted.
• Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with telehealth platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to work independently while managing multiple client cases and maintaining effective communication with team members.

While not required, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience working with geriatric populations.
• Familiarity with community health services and resources.
• A strong background in therapeutic techniques that support diverse populations.
