Registered Nurse (RN)

Hospital Outpatient Dialysis

The Level 1 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Dialysis unit provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments. This full-time role supports patient monitoring, treatment delivery, education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to outpatient dialysis patients following established clinical protocols
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments, including vital signs and patient response
  • Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments as ordered
  • Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
  • Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, care plans, and self-management
  • Accurately document care and patient progress in the electronic medical record
  • Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly
  • Maintain strict infection control and safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, dialysis technicians, and healthcare team members
Compensation
  • $44โ€“$48/hour (based on experience)
Requirements:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred (dialysis experience a plus, not required)
  • BLS required
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume outpatient dialysis environment
