About Ally Wellness

Ally Wellness is a vibrant, modern outpatient nonprofit clinic dedicated to sexual health equity. We provide high-quality, judgment-free care to a diverse patient population, with a primary focus on HIV care and men’s health. We are a close-knit team looking for a mission-driven RN who wants to be a pillar of support for the LGBTQ+ community in Connecticut.

The Role: Clinical Rockstar & Patient Advocate

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Unlike a traditional hospital floor, this outpatient role requires you to be the clinical backbone of the office—handling everything from phlebotomy, intravenous access, medication administration and patient triage.

Ready to get into outpatient nursing? Apply today and join an incredible team!

Key Requirements & "The Right Fit"

  • Clinical Autonomy: 1+ years of Nursing experience is required. Backgrounds in ER, Urgent Care, or Triage are highly valued as you will be managing incoming patient calls and acute health concerns.

  • Intravenous Access/Phlebotomy: Must be highly proficient in blood draws, IV infusions, IM, and SubQ injections.

  • Cultural Competency: We prioritize candidates with lived experience in the LGBTQ+ community or a deep professional understanding of men’s sexual health.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs, and medical history.

  • Perform STI testing and laboratory specimen collection.

  • Manage triage processes for incoming patients, prioritizing urgent cases.

  • Document all interactions accurately in EHR systems (HIPAA compliance).

  • Provide health coaching on medication management and disease prevention.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut RN License.

  • BSN is preferred (not required).

  • Strong knowledge of infectious disease care and primary care protocols.

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.

  • Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
