Primary Objective

A CPQ Modeler is responsible for providing value to the MTS team by designing, creating and supporting product configurations for our Sales Teams globally. They have responsibility for assembling data, analyzing requirements, and identifying simplified design solutions which help drive Sales teams’ ability to generate fast, efficient and high-quality quotes for our customers. They work with Products teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing and Service to provide the appropriate output for back-end processing.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Configure, deploy, and support product and service configuration models, including ongoing enhancements.

  • Continuously refine logic, rules, tables, and supporting documentation to enable efficient loading of new products, enhancements, and functional improvements.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on configuration structure, ensuring rules and attributes are applied accurately to create fully configurable products. Develop comprehensive documentation for new products and enhancements.

  • Guide cross functional product teams in developing test scripts to validate configurations. Identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement modifications as needed.

  • Collaborate with product teams to maintain tables, master data, and configurations as new products, changes, or enhancements are introduced.

  • Plan and coordinate change management activities required to maintain configuration integrity between Salesforce, SAP and the CPQ tool. Manage the movement of change sets across environments.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently by maintaining a clear, analytical approach throughout the troubleshooting process. Understand system interfaces to determine root causes and implement effective resolutions.

  • Contribute input to the development and prioritization of CPQ enhancements.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross functional partners in product engineering, product management, sales, marketing communications, and operations. Demonstrate reliability, follow through, and a commitment to fostering mutual trust.

  • Develop and uphold modeling standards aligned with vendor guidance and MTS best practices. Stay informed on new features and vendor enhancements to improve efficiency, performance, and user experience.

Preferred General Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be legally Authorized to work in the United States

  • 2 or more years of experience working as a CPQ Developer

  • Familiarity with Oracle CPQ and BML language, or equivalent

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP systems

  • Familiarity with Product Configuration for Manufacturing and Software products

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

  • Ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced environment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field

Compensation Information:

$88,000 - $120,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
