About the Opportunity

We're partnering with a growing commercial painting contractor in the DFW area that is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to its team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is driven, personable, and eager to grow within the commercial construction industry. The company is looking for someone who can learn alongside an experienced team, take on increasing responsibility, and develop into a Project Manager over time.

The right person doesn't need to know everything on day one. Soft skills, work ethic, communication, and the desire to learn are extremely important.

What You'll Do
  • Support commercial painting projects from award through closeout
  • Work alongside experienced PMs and learn all aspects of project management
  • Visit active jobsites and communicate with clients, GCs, and project partners
  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, documentation, and change orders
  • Help coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project partners
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Gain experience with estimating and BuzzBid software
  • Take on increasing responsibility as you develop within the company
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the company's quality standards
What We're Looking For
  • Construction experience, internship experience, or a recent degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Commercial painting experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and comfortable interacting with clients and project teams
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Someone who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction
  • Driven, personable, and willing to take ownership
Why This Opportunity?
  • Join a growing commercial painting contractor
  • Learn directly from experienced Project Managers
  • Clear opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role
  • Local work with no overnight travel
  • Team-oriented company that values people, growth, and strong relationships

If you're early in your construction career and looking for an opportunity where you can learn, grow, and build a long-term career, this could be a great fit.
