As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients through detailed historical reviews and specific assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Reviewing evaluation results with patients and their families while collaboratively setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implementing treatment protocols effectively based on individual patient evaluations and continuously adapting these plans as necessary to reflect patient progress and changes in condition.
• Consulting regularly with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care while identifying when medical or additional rehabilitation consultation may be warranted.
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, which contribute to a comprehensive picture of each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Managing your schedule effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives and marketing efforts to promote accessibility and/or innovations in rehabilitation services.

At Touchstone Health Therapy, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions. Qualified candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy as required by Virginia regulations.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).

While prior work experience in a physical therapy setting is not required, candidates with previous experience or specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation will be viewed favorably.
