Job description

Landmark Hospitals in Columbia is expanding and needs monitor techs for our telemetry patients. Apply today to work in a supportive work environment with great people! We are looking for both Full time and PRN, and have Day, Night and Weekend Shifts available.


Key duties: Under the supervision of the charge nurse, the monitor technician is responsible for continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms, maintaining monitoring documentation and equipment. The technician directs communication with the nursing unit, prepares and ensures completion of the patientsโ€™ medical records, and assists nurses with order transcription, Needs to have at least 3 months experience in this area.



  • Monitor cardiac rhythms
  • Maintain monitoring documentation in medical records
  • Update logs, reports, documentation
  • Maintain monitoring equipment / reporting issues with equipment to charge nurse


Other typical duties/tasks (when not performing monitoring function) could include:


  • Assisting unit secretary with communications, receptionist, and secretarial tasks for the nursing unit
  • Answering call lights
  • Performing as a Patient Care Tech
  • Order transcription
  • Ordering supplies

    Monitor Technician Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of hospital experience preferred
  • Must pass Monitor Tech Certification Test
