As a Senior Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy.
• Providing individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of each client.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for clients.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in the mental health field.

In this role, you will primarily serve adolescents aged 12-18, along with their families. Our clients often come from underserved backgrounds and may face various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your expertise will play a crucial role in empowering them to navigate these difficulties and make positive life changes.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse client base.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, demonstrating collaboration and empathy.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.

While not required, experienced candidates with the following qualifications would be preferred:

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse interventions.
• A demonstrated commitment to ongoing education in clinical research and innovative therapy practices.

This full-time position offers an annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
