Job description

East Hill Academy is a private, non-profit school educating children with autism. We are searching for a qualified, full-time teaching assistant to join us in delivering a high-tech, quality education. The ideal candidate will have experience with children and strong interpersonal and communication skills. A positive, compassionate and patient attitude are essential in this role.

This person will support the teacher in preparing, organizing and executing lesson plans and classroom material. Provide individual attention and support to students throughout the school day as well as supervise the safety of students in and out of the classroom.

This individual will also be expected to follow guidelines and implement school rules and standards under the teacher's direction.

Requirements include High School diploma or equivalent and the ability to be flexible and adjust to changes in a dynamic environment. Applicants will be subject to drug testing and national background fingerprinting per statutory requirements.
