Sunroof Express is in search of a sharp, ambitious, and enthusiastic full-time Glass Polishing Technician to join our team in Troy, Michigan! The Glass Polishing Technician is responsible for restoring automotive glass surfaces to a clear, scratch-free condition by following a standardized multi-step polishing process. This role ensures quality and consistency in every part polished, supporting the company’s standards for reconditioned parts.

Pay Details:

  • Training Period: $15/hour
  • Training Complete: $18/hour

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8 AM – 5 PM
  • In office
  • Full time – 40 hours

The right candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in automotive detailing, restoration, or production a plus

Our Glass Polishing Technician will:

  • Polish glass using a series of Trizact pads, compounds, and polishing sponges to remove scratches and haze
  • Identify and mark scratches or imperfections for correction
  • Follow defined steps to progressively remove surface blemishes and restore clarity
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain accurate tracking by scanning parts at each stage of the process
  • Keep work area clean and organized, and follow all safety protocols
  • Coordinate with team leads to ensure workflow and production goals are met

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a production/warehouse setting, with exposure to polishing equipment, cleaning products, and physical activity such as standing, lifting, and repetitive motion.
