Cabinet Design & Production Assistant - Support High-End Custom Cabinetry Projects Job Overview

The Opportunity You will serve as a foundational member of a premier custom cabinet shop, bridging the gap between design concepts and physical production. This career-track role offers you the unique chance to be mentored by a Design & Production Engineer while mastering the art of high-end architectural millwork. How You Will Make an Impact
  • Develop detailed cabinet drawings and update design files using specialized software to ensure production accuracy.
  • Interpret architectural plans and apply field measurements to digital models to prevent onsite installation errors.
  • Coordinate material takeoffs and track hardware deliveries to maintain a seamless workflow for the shop team.
  • Organize comprehensive job packets and digital documentation to ensure project transparency across the department.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and team members to resolve logistical issues and confirm order specifications.
  • Monitor job tracking systems to identify missing information or potential production bottlenecks before they occur.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to precision in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Proven reliability and a strong desire to build a long-term career within the skilled trades.
  • Technical proficiency and comfort working with computers and digital filing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple administrative and production tasks simultaneously while staying organized.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Basic experience with CAD, SketchUp, or similar design and drafting software.
  • Previous exposure to construction, woodworking, or a related trade-based field.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic construction plans or blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for data tracking.
