To meet growing demand, the System Protection & Automation Engineering group within the Power Sector at TRC is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer (Engineer III) to work closely with a diverse team of System Protection and Automation & Integration engineers on projects for utility, generation and municipal clients across the country.
Successful applicant will be responsible for fault analysis, developing relay settings and related documentation for protective relays and control IEDs. Expected to follow client requirements and internal company quality control and quality assurance practices.
Expected to serve as the interface with clients, other company departments, outside consultants, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers on technically related matters. Expected to serve as engineering lead or technical reviewer on assigned projects. Candidate will be responsible for working closely with other engineering and project management team members to coordinate overall project deliverables and be responsible for helping maintain project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or EIT preferred
  • 5 or more years of electrical engineering experience in relay settings is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of typical transmission, substation and distribution protection applications
  • Experience with ASPEN and AcSELerator Quickset software required. Experience with ETAP, SKM, CYME, CAPE and other manufacturer relay software preferred.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
