What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time software engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Relocating for a full-time software engineering role often involves adapting to a new city, understanding a different company culture, and quickly building relationships with new colleagues. Engineers may also encounter challenges in finding housing, managing logistics, and acclimating to local work norms or technologies. To prepare, it’s helpful to connect with future teammates before the move, research the area thoroughly, and utilize any relocation support offered by the employer. Being proactive about these aspects can ease the transition and set the stage for early success in the new role.

What is a full time software engineer relocation?

A Full Time Software Engineer Relocation job is a software engineering position that requires the employee to move to a new city or country for the role. These positions are typically permanent (full-time) and often come with support from the employer to assist with moving expenses and settling into the new location. Relocation opportunities are common in tech companies seeking specialized talent or filling positions at specific offices. Candidates considering such roles should be prepared for both the logistical and cultural aspects of relocating for work.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive complex, regulated initiatives from design through implementation and support. You will operate as a senior individual contributor — architecting solutions and building them.

  • Proven experience designing and deploying Agentforce agents and prompt templates for customer-facing or internal use cases

  • Strong Salesforce development skills: Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch/Scheduled, REST/SOAP callouts), Lightning Web Components, and Flows

  • Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs and an iPaaS or data-orchestration platform

  • Ability to work autonomously, drive ambiguous initiatives to completion, and communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Required Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist (Pardot)

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II

  • Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Next / Marketing Cloud Advanced (or a strong MCAE background with demonstrated ability to ramp quickly)

  • Experience implementing enterprise consent and privacy architecture — Salesforce Privacy Center, contact-point consent models, GDPR consent withdrawal, or equivalent CDP/CMP solutions

  • Experience leading or contributing to a major Salesforce org migration or platform consolidation program

  • Familiarity with 6sense, Openprise, or Qualtrics integrations in a B2B marketing context

  • Familiarity with CI/CD for Salesforce: SFDX, Git-based deployment pipelines, and automated testing frameworks

  • CRM Analytics or Tableau experience for marketing performance reporting
