Job description

About us:
Doodie Calls, LLC. provides sanitation services for residential, construction sites, special events, and disaster relief. We began operations in the fall of 2018. In the first year of operation, our focus was on strategic growth throughout the Tampa metropolitan area. To serve our customers promptly and efficiently, we maintain offices throughout Florida. Our headquarters is in St. Petersburg with branch offices in through out Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas.
We believe that each staff member plays a vital role in our success, and we foster an environment of mutual respect. Our goal is to see our employees thrive and grow, as their success is our success. Whether in the field or in office, our dispatch team, district managers and office managers are consistently available to provide support and guidance. We believe in the power of collaboration and mutual support.
Job Summary: We're looking for a Data Analyst who will turn data into better business decisions. You'll be a go-to person for answering the questions that keep our operations, fleet, finance, and leadership teams moving - from recurring performance reporting to fast-turnaround ad-hoc analysis. Our data infrastructure is modern and actively evolving, so you'll partner with the team to shape and improve it. You'll write your own SQL, dig into the data, and translate what you find into clear, actionable recommendations that solve real business problems. This is a great role for a growing analyst who wants to own meaningful work and expand their technical toolkit.
Job Classification: Full-time, salary-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Location: St. Petersburg, FL, 33716
Workstyle: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
  • Answer business questions across operations, fleet, sales, and finance - scoping the real question behind each request and delivering answers that drive action
  • Write and optimize SQL against our Snowflake warehouse to pull, join, and analyze data independently
  • Turn around ad-hoc analysis quickly and clearly, balancing speed with rigor
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reporting [tools: e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker] that give teams visibility into fleet utilization, route efficiency, service metrics, and financial performance
  • Analyze operational data - routing, servicing frequency, unit inventory, driver productivity - to surface efficiency and revenue opportunities
  • Present findings to both operational teams and leadership in plain language, with a clear "so what" and next step
  • Partner with the senior data engineer to shape the data model - requesting new data sources, informing improvements, and flagging data-quality issues so our analytics keep getting sharper (consuming and helping refine pipelines rather than building them)
  • Support decision-making around pricing, demand, capacity, and asset utilization through analysis

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of business/data analysis experience
  • Solid, hands-on SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and filtering - you can independently get the data you need
  • Proficiency with a BI/visualization tool [e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker]
  • A demonstrated ability to translate business questions into clear analysis and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills across operational and leadership audiences
  • A talent for making data understandable and actionable for non-technical teams
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and works effectively under limited supervision
  • Proven ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects and competing priorities simultaneously, keeping each on track to deadline

Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake a plus)
  • Familiarity with AWS [e.g., S3, Redshift, Athena]
  • Exposure to Python for analysis and automation (e.g., pandas)
  • Experience in [logistics, field services, fleet operations, waste management, or a route-based business]
  • General understanding of accounting and financial terminology (e.g., revenue, margin, cost of service)
  • Experience with routing/dispatch, telematics, or ERP/billing systems

Benefits:
  • 401(k) & 401(k) matching
  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance
  • Professional development budget, certification support
  • Supplemental Plans

We are an equal employment opportunity employer. The Company's policy is not to discriminate against any applicant or employee based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, age (40 and over), disability, veteran or uniformed service-member status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
