Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with students from Kindergarten - 8th grade, to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine eligibility for services, using standardized tools and informal observations.
- IEP Development: Design, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable, data-driven goals tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Direct Therapy: Provide high-quality, engaging individual and group therapy sessions that align with curriculum standards and support academic growth.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with teachers, parents, psychologists, and administrators to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely records of student progress, evaluation reports, and service logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Indiana licensure (or eligibility to obtain) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent written and verbal communication, and a genuine passion for working with a diverse population.
