Job description

Full-Time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient practice. This full-time role provides an opportunity to deliver comprehensive, high-quality primary care services in a collaborative, team-based environment focused on continuity of care, preventive medicine, and long-term patient relationships.

  • Arlington (Shirlington), VA

Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • Outpatient setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions

  • Conduct preventive care visits, health screenings, and patient education

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results

  • Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans in accordance with scope of practice

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Adhere to clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Education

  • Master's degree in Nursing required

Licensure / Certification Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure required

  • Nurse Practitioner license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions preferred

  • National Nurse Practitioner Certification (or eligibility upon hire) required

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
