Job description

CDL Driver Needed – Septic Truck Manual Transmission

Herring Sanitation is a local, family-run business seeking a dependable CDL Driver to operate a septic pump truck. We take pride in treating our employees like family, not just a number, and providing long-term work.

Job Duties:
- Drive and operate a septic pump truck - manual transmission septic pump truck (10–12 speed)
- Locate & Dig up septic tanks as well as setting up hoses and equipment at job site
- Pump residential and commercial septic systems
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment
- Follow all DOT, safety, and environmental regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Perform basic maintenance and keep truck clean and organized
- Complete required paperwork

Requirements:
- Valid CDL (Class B preferred)
- Clean driving record

-Must be able to drive a Manual Transmission and have at least 2 years experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements (DOT physical, drug screening)
- Experience with septic or vacuum trucks is a plus (will train the right candidate)
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable, safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working long hours when needed
- Willing to work occasional weekends and available to do a few night jobs
- Provide professional customer service

Pay:
- Hourly pay
-Time and a half for all hours over 40
-Some Prevailing Wage work available
