Description

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Multi Cloud Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support to a mission critical program based in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will directly support the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED)—the organization responsible for architecting, acquiring, and sustaining the nation’s most advanced space and ground systems across their full lifecycle.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor guiding the development, integration, and deployment of modern, scalable multi cloud solutions. Working closely with government leadership, FFRDC partners, SETA teammates, and development contractors, you will help drive enterprise cloud modernization and ensure mission critical systems are delivered with security, reliability, and performance. Your work will play a key role in GED’s Enterprise Data, Applications, and Platform (EDAP) transformation.

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Design and plan multi cloud solution architectures across multiple fabrics, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and mission objectives.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure provisioning, ensuring environments are built, configured, and maintained to support high availability mission systems.
  • Collaborate on cloud security and compliance designs, ensuring solutions meet NRO, IC, and federal security requirements.
  • Analyze and optimize technical and business processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve cloud adoption efficiency.
  • Manage cloud architecture implementations, ensuring solutions are delivered on schedule and aligned with technical baselines.
  • Ensure operational reliability by developing strategies for monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization across cloud environments.
  • Apply deep knowledge of NRO requirements management, ensuring cloud solutions meet enterprise, system, functional, and performance needs.
  • Support the Program Office in the execution of mission critical systems, providing technical insight and acquisition support.
  • Represent the government during developer led release planning, sprint reviews, and Agile ceremonies—ensuring government and stakeholder priorities are understood and implemented.
  • Engage proactively with Agile development teams to assess execution, identify risks, and ensure alignment with mission objectives.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Strong Multi-Cloud experience with a focus on designing and implementing cloud architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise computing and operating systems (OS) and cloud computing platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proficiency in popular programming languages like Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles to protect cloud data from unauthorized users and malicious hackers.
  • Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Skilled in documenting requirements, user stories, and use cases.
  • Proficient in integrating and automating IT system processes, including legacy systems.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills for diverse aspects of cloud architecture.
  • Effective communicator, engaging stakeholders across all levels, from entry-level to executives.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic team environments.
  • Experience supporting C2E a PLUS!
