Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare - Unarmed in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you’ll conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond with care, and provide exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.


What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related concerns through established communication and documentation procedures.
  • Assist with access control, visitor guidance, and incident response while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
