Job description

OUR CORE PURPOSE:

Together with our partners and participants, we cultivate communities where people are progressively seen, accepted, challenged , and supported.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Oversees and directs the overall administration of Campbell Lodge. Is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, including program, procedures, guidelines, food service, maintenance, and safety & security. Manages and monitors staff. Has primary responsibility for community relations and interagency events. Also serves as a spiritual leader for Campbell Lodge in spreading the message and commission of Jesus in Matthew 25. Ensures that the overall plans/goals adhere to the SMH mission statement, which is "providing a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined."
St. Matthew's House is a faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.
ESSENTIAL LEADERSHIP TASKS
  • Oversight of Annual Budget for Campbell Lodge facility
  • Monitors and approves AP Invoices and P-Card expenses
  • Responsible for oversight and supervision of all Program Staff, Security Staff, and the Case Management Team
  • Maintains and communicates the weekly staff schedule
  • Conducts audits of documentation ensuring continuity and accuracy of notes
  • Oversees and maintains proper protocol and adherence to all policies and procedures as they relate to the shelter programs
  • Ensures proper maintenance of Campbell Lodge property
  • Maintains an open door policy with staff for listening, teaching and praying as need arises
  • Coaches staff and clients through personal example and discipleship
  • Performs annual reviews for all shelter Program Staff, Security Staff and Case Management Staff. Recommending pay increases and performance improvement plans if and when appropriate
  • Ensures that program fees remain current and waivers are properly processed
  • Approves appropriate housing for each client and makes appropriate changes as needed
  • Plan and coordinate onsite meetings and classes as needed
  • Obtains and utilizes volunteers and workshop presenters as needed
  • As needed, attends meetings with representatives of other agencies to keep the community up to date regarding SMH, as well as keeping SMH up to date on services provided through outside agencies
  • Maintains and develops relationships with outside vendors
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the Sr. Director of Programs and Housing

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in a non-profit ministry working directly with homeless individuals.
Confidentiality: Works with confidential information - account numbers
Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demand: The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands
and arms, squatting, bending, and constantly moving on a regular basis. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time, this includes doing rounds which requires a variable distance in walking.
Working Conditions: Working in different weather conditions outside is to be expected.
Must be willing to occasionally work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours due to business needs.
