Job Summary
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Burleson/Ft Worth is seeking dependable Full-Time and Part-Time Maintenance Technicians to help maintain our guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel facilities.
This is a hands-on position responsible for completing preventive maintenance, identifying needed repairs, responding to maintenance concerns, and helping keep the hotel safe, clean, and fully operational.
The ideal candidate has general maintenance knowledge, takes pride in completing quality work, and understands the importance of minimizing inconvenience to hotel guests.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Respond to maintenance requests involving guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical repairs within the employee’s training and ability.
  • Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of PTAC air-conditioning units.
  • Repair or replace locks, door hardware, light fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, toilets, and other hotel equipment.
  • Complete painting, drywall repair, caulking, furniture repair, and other general maintenance work.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with basic pool and equipment-area maintenance as assigned.
  • Maintain organized maintenance storage and work areas.
  • Properly document completed repairs and items requiring follow-up.
  • Communicate professionally with guests when completing work in occupied areas.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly.
  • Assist with grounds, exterior areas, and other hotel projects when needed.
  • Complete additional duties assigned by hotel management.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely perform physical maintenance duties throughout the hotel.
Qualifications
  • Experience – you’ll have at least one year of maintenance or repair work under your belt 
  • A high school diploma or related vocational training 
  • You’ll be familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management programme and/or any other reporting tools like Quore, Canary, Opera
  • On top of building equipment and hand tools, you’ll have a working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical and preventative maintenance procedures 
  • CPO certification – A Certified Pool Operator license would be ideal, but not required
  • HVAC Certification - A Certification in HVAC/PTAC/VTAC is ideal, but not required
  • Onity RFID - Experience with Onity or Onity RFID is a PLUS!
  • Opera PMS - Experience with Opera PMS is a PLUS!
  • Quore - Experience with Quore is a PLUS!
  • Fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot 
  • Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
  • Can Do Attitude is required!
