Full Time S 92 Helicopter Pilots are professional aviators who operate Sikorsky S-92 helicopters as their primary occupation. The S-92 is a medium-lift, twin-engine helicopter commonly used for offshore oil and gas transport, search and rescue missions, and VIP transport. These pilots are responsible for safely flying the aircraft, conducting pre-flight inspections, adhering to strict safety protocols, and often working in challenging environments. In addition to flying, they may be involved in flight planning, weather assessment, and coordinating with ground and air traffic personnel.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time S 92 helicopter pilot?

Familiarity with avionics systems, flight management software, and type-specific endorsements or training are typically required. Excellent situational awareness, decision-making, and communication skills help pilots manage complex missions and work effectively with crew and ground personnel. These competencies are vital to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations in demanding environments such as offshore transport or search and rescue.
