Job description

Instructional Designer
Camping World Holdings, Inc. is America's largest RV retailer, dedicated to making RVing fun and easy. With locations in 42 states, we offer a comprehensive range of RV products, services, and customer support.
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to design and develop engaging learning experiences for employees. You will collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs, create training content, and implement modern instructional design strategies to enhance business performance. This role will be based in our Lincolnshire, IL office and will be hybrid (3 days a week in office and two days remote).
Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Design: Develop engaging training using ADDIE/SAM models across various formats (eLearning, ILT, VILT, webinars, and job aids).

  • Content Development & Maintenance: Create, update, and improve training materials for accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple learning projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work with stakeholders and SMEs to ensure training meets company needs.

  • Data & Insights: Track training effectiveness and optimize content based on feedback and metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience designing and delivering impactful training programs that enhance learner engagement and business performance.

  • Expertise in instructional design tools such as Articulate 360, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

  • Experience in media production, including video scripting, editing, and graphic design.

  • Ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to refine learning strategies.

  • Adaptability and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in an engaging manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing training for sales teams or customer-facing roles.

  • Knowledge of human-centered design and design-thinking methodologies.

  • Familiarity with LMS administration and learning analytics.

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
Pay Range:
$83,400.00-$127,900.00 Annual
