Job Description

Responsible for dealing with all games professionally, accurately, and according to policies and procedures, and ensure a positive customer experience. Proficient in all aspects of dealing blackjack and roulette.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Las Vegas, NV. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or be prepared to relocate prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

Asset Protection/Gaming Compliance

  • Protects the integrity of games through observation and follows appropriate procedures
  • Responsible for protecting all sensitive equipment, (Cards, shoes, etc.)
  • Responsible for ensuring maximum game protection
  • Complete paperwork required for monetary transactions
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card
  • Monitor game operations to ensure that house rules are followed, that state, and federal regulations are adhered to

  • Responsible for compliance with all dealing procedures
  • Ensure strict compliance with Ellis Island Casino and Brewery of Internal Controls

Critical Evaluation

  • Must be able to work independently and unsupervised at times and make good decisions based on adherence to policies and procedures
  • Must be able to pass yearly Title 31 certification and can effectively communicate with Compliance Department
  • Able to remain open-minded to changes and new information daily
  • Be knowledgeable about guest events, marketing promotions and services/amenities throughout the property

Team and Guest Service

  • Provide excellent guest service to all casino guests and ensure same of all Team Members
  • Deal effectively with guest problems/complaints
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary
  • Provides excellent service to other Team Members and departments as needed

Table Games Knowledge

  • Knowledge of all Table Games rules and regulations
  • Tracks multiple players? level and duration of play
  • Must have a total understanding of procedure manual for blackjack and roulette
  • Observe gamblers' behavior for signs of cheating, such as marking, switching, or counting cards, and notify security staff of suspected cheating
  • Deals assigned games by delivering cards or assigned games pieces, determining winners and losers, collecting and paying bets
  • Maintain familiarity with the games at a facility and with strategies or tricks used by cheaters at such games
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be willing and able to learn new games

Other Job Duties:

  • Fill in as dual rate-supervisor when need, and maintain Title 31 to perform in dual-rated capacity
  • Assists with tournaments and promotions
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary

Skills / Experience

  • The ability to submit to a background check and drug test is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company?s internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with gaming software and security systems is a plus.
  • At least 1 years of experience in Blackjack and Roulette Dealer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during shift.
  • Proficient use of a computer, including keyboarding and mouse skills.
  • Must be able to bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time.
  • Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy skills are critical.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid.
