Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse with a strong interest in perioperative care who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment. The RN will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care throughout the patient’s surgical experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for patients undergoing GI procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond appropriately to changes
  • Administer medications and treatments per established protocols
  • Educate patients and families on procedure preparation, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current, active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Prior experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU, GI lab, or surgical setting preferred (training available for motivated RNs)
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient interaction skills
  • Longevity in past roles
