Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Emergency Room (ER)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (36 hours guaranteed per week)
Location: Specialty Bakersfield
Schedule: 3ร—12s with the option to pick up a 4th shift based on unit needs


Position Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes.


Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

  • Acute care facility experience: Preferred


Licenses & Certifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California โ€“ Required

  • BLS / CPR (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI-BLS) โ€“ Required

  • ACLS (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI-ACLS) โ€“ Required

  • PALS (PALS, HS-PALS, or RQI-PALS) โ€“ Required


Essential Functions
  • Collects and analyzes patient data to identify health conditions and care needs

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans

  • Coordinates patient care and promotes a safe, healing environment

  • Monitors patient progress and revises care plans as needed

  • Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members

  • Provides education and health information to patients and families

  • Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care

  • Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates team activities

  • Performs additional duties as assigned
